5" Donkey Quartz Inline and Face Polish Surface Polishing Pad 10000 Grit for Quartz, Engineered Stone, Marble, Granite.

Weha Hook & Loop backed edge wheels are built and designed specifically for horizontal machines such as Comandulli machines, Montresor edge polishers as well as vertical polishing machines: Sasso Flying Flat, Park Industries FastBack, GMM Tower, Marmo 711, and other polishing machines.

Designed to accommodate between 5-9 heads, the Weha inline polishing combo system will create a fantastic polish on marble, granite, dark quartz, light quartz, quartzite, porcelain, ceramic, sintered stone, etc.

The Weha inline polishing wheels are hook & loop backed for quick replacement without the hassle of removing the snail lock holders.

The Step 0 is not needed under normal circumstances. Only use #0 if the edge is not flat or extremely rough and needs some stock removal before step 1.

How to use the Weha 5" Donkey Quartz Polishing Pads for Vertical and Horizontal Inline Machines:

This Weha combo system took several months of R & D and has been tested on 5 head vertical machines as well on up to 8 head horizontal machines.

The combination of the Weha 5" Inline 3 Step pads and Donkey pads is producing an excellent polish on all materials with all machines.

The Step 1,2,3 will be used together in sequence.
for 5 head machines:
Step 1,2,3, Donkey Pad 1000,2000 or 2000,3000 depending on the stone and how much gloss you need to match.
Typical quartz use 1,2,3, Donkey Pad 1000,2000
For greater texture use Step 1,2,3 Donkey pad 600,1000

For 6 or more head machines the sequence can be the same as the 5 head sequence. You may add the 3000 grit Donkey for the occasional very difficult granite.

Machine Specs:
Step 1: 3 Bar
Step 2-6: 2.5 Bar
Feedrate: 80-120cm per minute depending on machine

The Weha 5" Donkey Pads can also be used to repair the surface of quartz, engineered stone polishing pads as well.

They can be used by hand, on planetary polishers, floor machines, single head machines, as well as cnc machines.

The Weha Donkey Polishing Pads will blend the texture of the polish to make it match perfectly with the rest of the top.
Outstanding for quartz scratch repair, blending seams, even polishing edges.

The Weha Donkey pads also work incredibly well on repairing marble etch marks and resurfacing marble counters for repair.

The Weha Donkey polishing pads is a diamond sponge system that holds a lot of water. This works amazing when doing repair work inside a home where water is limited.

The Weha Donkey pads will also work on granite, marble, quartzite surfaces as well

How to use the Weha Donkey Quartz Face Polishing Pads:

To remove a scratch out of a quartz surface:
Start with the Weha Trio 3 step pads using a the Weha Aluminum Rigid Back up Pad or the Weha Thin Rigid back up pad. Use all 3 pads, fanning out each grit, using the typical technique used for surface polishing
After Step 3 start with the Weha Donkey Pad 600 grit, then 1000 grit, then 2000 grit using the same fanning pattern. 1200 RPM or less.
After 2000 grit, dry the surface and see if the finish is matched.
If not, continue to the 3000 grit.
Occasionally, depending on the Quartz stone, a 6000 grit may be needed.

If using 7 step diamond polishing pads, bring up to 3000 grit, then start back with the Weha Donkey Pad 600 grit, then 1000 grit, then 2000 grit using the same fanning pattern. 1200 RPM or less.

To remove etch marks out of marble:
Start with the 600g Donkey pad with low rpm, 1800 rpm or less, and work over the area in 30 second increments.
Depending on the marble and gloss, a 1000 grit and 2000 grit maybe necessary

To remove a scratch out of a granite surface:

Start with the Weha Trio 3 step pads using a the Weha Aluminum Rigid Back up Pad or the Weha Thin Rigid back up pad. Use all 3 pads, fanning out each grit, using the typical technique used for surface polishing
After Step 3 start with the Weha Donkey Pad 600 grit, then 1000 grit, then 2000 grit using the same fanning pattern. 1200 RPM or less.
After 1000 grit, dry the surface and see if the finish is matched. If necessary move to the 2,000 and check
If not, continue to the 3000 grit.
Occasionally, depending on the granite or Quartz stone, a 6000 grit may be needed.

If using 7 step diamond polishing pads, bring up to 3000 grit, then start back with the Weha Donkey Pad 600 grit, then 1000 grit, then 2000 grit using the same fanning pattern. 1200 RPM or less.
